The Role
The Site Leader in Japan is responsible for Kobe factory and office as well as Tokyo sales office. As the aims of business are focussed towards growth, profits and increasing shareholder return it is the responsibility of the Site leader to ensure that the company strategy is geared towards this. The Site Leader will report to the vertical president of Power and Nuclear and has full P&L responsibility.
Main Responsibilities
· Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to ensure customer excellence
· Oversee the company’s financial performance investments, operational and risk management
· Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
· Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
· Build on high performance culture with team managers to strengthen succesion and development
· Lead continuous improvements by leveraging digital technology and optimizing manufacturing capabilities and Best Cost Country method

What We Are Looking For
· Proven experience as Site leader or other managerial position with project-based manufacturing
· Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans and good planning and forecasting
· Thorough knowledge of Japanese market changes and forces that influence the company
· Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance and financial acumen
· Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
· Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills in Japanese language
· Able to work across the organisation globally and with cultural sensitivity towards major Japanese firms
· The successful candidate will be required to ‘hit the ground running’ and quickly analyse the market and competition to understand the key challenges and opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving strategy and comfortable balancing both short- and long-term results.
