Role Overview

This 12 Month Fixed Term Contract role is responsible for optimising the functionality of business software primarily, but not limited to ERP.  This will include fielding questions, troubleshooting, overseeing development of new functionality and implementing process-change requests.

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include but not be limited to:

§  Drive the improvement of EFAC’s software by managing deliverables, risks and providing regular status updates.

§  Deliver EFACs customisations via: SQL, EFACs toolset and Report Writing (In BIRT and PowerBI).

§  Create, maintain and update systems documentation for all appropriate business applications including EFACS.

§  Proactively analyse ERP data to identify patterns or trends that can be used to improve business processes and report finding back to IT Systems and Business Process Manager.

§  Apply methodical problem-solving skills to resolve issues and optimize application performance.

§  Coordinate with other departments to develop and implement new processes or procedures to support new systems.

§  Build new software applications from scratch and develop new features for existing applications as appropriate to business requirements.

§  Perform other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required.

§  Support end users with development opportunities, providing technical support & guidance.

Critical Competencies for Success

§  Demonstrable proficiency in SQL, Power BI & report writing.

§  Demonstrable excellent problem solving & analytical skills.

§  Demonstrable experience of delivering ‘Technical’ solutions within a manufacturing/ operations type organisation.

§  Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise activities across multiple projects at the same time.

§  Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.

§  Team player with the ability to influence and coach others.

§  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with a particular focus on the ability to successfully communicate technical concepts to individuals with varying technical understanding.

§  Committed to work to deadlines and determined to see a job through to a satisfactory conclusion.

§  Pro-active with a ‘can do’ attitude.

§  High level of attention to detail.

Desirable Criteria

§  Experience of BIRT, Crystal or SSRS report writing or similar.
