Role Overview:

Irwin, PA manufacturer of Process Valves and automation seeking a mechanically-inclined self-starter to handle technical inside sales and customer support.

Our customers include world-wide representatives and end users from a variety of industries including Pharmaceutical, Personal Care, Chemical, Shipbuilding, Oil & Gas, Power, Pulp and Paper, Cryogenic, and Food & Beverage. 

Work Environment: Irwin, PA – 100% In-office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries including pricing, delivery, product applications, order-entry, trouble-shooting field issues and preparing quotations in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work within an MRP system and estimate costs for new products.
  • Project management using a CRM platform.
  • Work with others in the organization to ensure customer requirements and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Respond to customer and Rep inquiries regarding order status, expediting, tracking numbers.   Interface with PBM production, purchasing, and planning to receive current information.   Relay info on use of PBM’s portal for tracking information to Representatives. 
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding minor order discrepancies and process the solution.  Minor discrepancies include tagging errors, order quantity issues, documentation issues or documentation requests.
  • Process standard engineering drawing / CAD file requests.  Obtain drawing from engineering file on F drive if available and if not process request through Engineering Manager to have drawing made.   Forward to requestor.  
  • Process standard orders – order entry for standard configured valves, parts, repair kits.   ISR to forward request along with associated documentation (quote on file), required documentation (ISO / ENG / IOM codes), and ship date.   Order value limited to $(advise)K or less. 
  • Process standard Government quotations on file.   For Government quotes not on file ISR to provide pricing and info and CSR to process quote.
  • Process standard email inquiries for standard (price list) parts and repair kits to representative in the form of an email quote.  
  • Respond to general inquires for (electronic) information on file including IOMs, brochures, and Product Bulletins. 
  • Process all requests with sense of urgency.  Display positive attitude and develop professional customer service relationships with reps and end users. 
  • Spend 1 hour each day with an ISR for training on CSR duties (initially) on above duties along with part numbers, price book, Avante (order entry, deliveries, RMAs, etc.)   Save specific examples from your que and walk through the process.  This will be round robin for a 3-month period.


 

Critical Competencies for Success:

  • Technical degree or related field and/or prior technical sales experience dealing with product applications, designs, quotations, and service.
  • “Can do attitude” with willingness to handle heavy workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings along with a solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Proficient math and business writing skills

Pay range: $65,000 - $68,000

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
