Role Overview:

The Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analytical functions in our organization. The role involves collaborating with various departments to develop budgets, forecast financial performance, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making.

Work Location:  This position will be based at our facility in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.  It is a hybrid position.  For the first 90 days, we would like you onsite 5 days per week.  After 90 days, you would be onsite 3 days per week.

Supervisory Responsibility:  This role has no direct reports.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Generate project budget reports and lead review meetings
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Modeling tools
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports
  • Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
  • Prepare presentations to Senior Management Team
  • Assist Finance team with month end close procedures
  • Any other work as directed by supervisor
     

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A.
  • Experience within manufacturing/energy sector/control valves industry is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines
  • Strong leadership skills required. Ability to influence others.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Experience working with SQL and ERP Systems (IFS a plus)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers
  • Experience with consolidation software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Pay range:  $110k - $125k

Within the range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to the job requirements. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive a variable incentive pay component. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
