Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Sales Operations/Business Analyst to work closely with IMI Process Automation Americas business unit commercial team to drive sales performance, market outlook & order momentum. We are also looking for someone who can apply mathematical modelling and other optimizing methods using a computer to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, demand planning or other managerial functions.
The ideal candidate will be a data detective, turning raw information into strategic insights that drive business growth. They will be comfortable working with diverse datasets, have a knack for identifying patterns, and possess the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders across the organization
Work Environment: Position is located at our facility in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Position will be onsite 5 days week for 90 days. After that will be Hybrid/3 days onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain data integrity of internal sales tools and CRM systems.
- Design and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
- Implement and track data hygiene practices to maintain accuracy and reliability of information.
- Contribute to ongoing development and improvement of sales systems and tools; conduct training on tools as and when needed.
- Extract data efficiently from Salesforce (CRM tool), IFS (ERP tool), and other relevant systems, conduct in depth research and analysis of the data to provide insights which will drive strategic business decisions and improve financial performance.
- Analyze large datasets about territory performance, individual performance, customer behavior, including various performance metrics (i.e. YoY trends)
- Provide analytics and insight to develop and support business programs and growth initiatives across the customer base within the region; initiatives to grow and expand the current share of customer spend where IMI has product installed, along with growth initiatives to develop new business with current customers, new customers (along with adjacencies).
- Data analytics to help identify customers by analyzing demographic, outage spending, wallet share to understand conversion, increasing efficiency and win rates.
- Develop predictive models on generating bookings from customer outage and maintenance schedules, including cross selling and upselling opportunities, and enhancing forecasting accuracy from past data.
- Assessment of win/loss sales trends and marketing strategies to generate sales reports and business development insights.
- Identify trends and opportunities for process improvement using advanced analytics; implement improvements.
- Analyze patterns in forecast conversion, forecast accuracy, customer buying pattern to understand likelihood of order conversions and release order for early manufacturing to the various IMI factories.
- Create detailed reports with clear visualizations (e.g., dashboards in Power BI) for stakeholders at all levels.
- Present findings in a comprehensible manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and management teams to understand data needs and deliver customized analytics solutions.
Advanced Analytics and Market Intelligence:
- Utilize AI-powered analytics to derive deeper insights and automate repetitive tasks
- Perform complex statistical analyses and predictive modeling to identify trends and patterns
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for various stakeholders
- Gather and analyze market data to provide competitive insights and industry trends
- Synthesize information from multiple sources to create comprehensive market analyses
Qualifications / Preferred Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Experience and familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite of products
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Experience with AI-powered analytics platforms and tools
- Familiarity with IFS or similar ERP systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Data Analyst)
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices
- Familiarity with agile methodologies

Pay range: $90,000 - $100,000
Within the range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to the job requirements. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive a variable incentive pay component. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
