Role Overview:

Nuclear Sales Director for the Americas is responsible for leading and expanding commercial sales activities for IMI nuclear solutions and services across North America. This role combines leadership, relationship management, technical knowledge, and strategic vision to drive business growth in the nuclear sector
The Nuclear Sales Director oversees all aspects of commercial sales in the region, including strategic planning, team leadership, customer relationship building, and execution of business development initiatives. The position requires expertise in nuclear industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and the competitive landscape of energy markets in the Americas.
This role is highly strategic and requires the ability to foster trust, navigate complexity, and deliver results in a regulated and technically challenging sector.

 

Work Environment: This is a remote position with 70% travel. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and business plans that deliver sales and revenue growth and market penetration within the nuclear sector across the Americas.
  • Lead the commercial sales cycle from opportunity identification, customer engagement, and proposal development to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performance sales team and channel partners, overseeing recruitment, training, and alignment to business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with utility partners, government stakeholders as applicable, engineering contractors, and procurement teams to expand business opportunities.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, engineering, product management, and marketing, to ensure customized solutions and successful project delivery.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor strategies, and regulatory developments in the nuclear energy space; use this insight to inform regional strategies.
  • Drive the development of new product and service offerings tailored to the evolving needs of nuclear customers in the Americas.
  • Oversee financial performance, including Sales forecasts, margin management, and profitability tracking for the nuclear sales division.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, forums, and customer events throughout the region.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience in the nuclear power, energy, or infrastructure sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-functional teams and lead complex negotiation processes with high-level stakeholders.
  •  Strong knowledge of nuclear industry trends, regulatory requirements, and customer procurement practices in the Americas.
  • Proven CRM and opportunity management skills (e.g., Salesforce), with analytical proficiency to drive decisions on sales strategies.

Pay range: $150,000 - $190,000

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
