Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled Mazak CNC Operator to join our team in Irwin, PA to help set up, operate and maintain Mazak CNC lathes & mills using Mazatrol controls.  The ideal candidate will produce high-quality machined parts according to engineering specifications while maintaining efficiency, safety & quality standards.

 

Work Environment: On-Site at Irwin, PA  - Second Shift 3:00 pm- 1:30 am

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Mazak CNC machines (lathes and mills) using Mazatrol controls.
  • Perform all in-process inspections, including first article inspections, to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and dimensional tolerances.
  • Load/unload parts using overhead cranes, deburr parts, and complete production documentation.
  • Monitor tooling and tool life, minimize machine downtime, and communicate maintenance needs.

 

Critical Competencies for Success:

  • Proven experience operating Mazak CNC machines with Mazatrol controls in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and verify material specs.
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling selection, and part inspection procedures.
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Prior experience with CNC programming, manufacturing processes, and cross-training flexibility is a plus.

 

Pay range: $24.00 - $30.00 / hour

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
